What you’ll need: A bowl of sand (to represent the earth)
* Green cloth
* Needle and thread
* Cinnamon or cedar incense
* Dried chamomile, vervain or squill
* Mint or honeysuckle oil

This must be done in the light of the moon for best results. (i.e. at least have the moon in view through a window.)

STEP 1: Quickly cut and sow a poppet out of the cloth. This is easy and fun.

Rose’s Magick Thorn Wishing Spell: For Wishes

What you’ll need:
* Large sharp tree thorn
* White candle
* Fire
* Frankincense oil

Do this spell at midnight, during any phase of the moon (as long as it is visible) for best results.

STEP 1: Setup a basic altar in your home…or outside

STEP 2: Take a large and sharp tree thorn and stick it into the side of a short white candle.

STEP 3: Annoint the candle and thorn with Frankincense oil.

STEP 4: Light the wick, and concentrate on one single wish you have.

STEP 5: Once you can see your wish, and feel it, say this 3 times:

“Moon, Moon, Mother Moon, mover or the tide.

You will need the following items for this spell: 1 white candle
* 1 red candle
* 1 green candle
* 3 dark blue candles
* 2 sticks from outside
* Some thread or yarn

STEP 1: Place the white, red, and green candles together on a table or altar.

STEP 2: Then, take the 3 dark blue candles; place them in a triangle, evenly apart around the other
candles.

STEP 3: Then take the two sticks together in your left hand, and wrap the yarn or string around them
tightly…to keep them together.

STEP 4: Light the candles and wind the thread around the two things and while you are, chant:

Whatever it may be, make sure you’re clear and confident about what it is that you would like. — “I will get that promotion at work“, “I will find love”, “I will get rich” etc.

2. Determine What Material Components You’ll Need to Achieve Your Goal.

Will the spell require herbs, candles, or stones? Think outside of the box when you’re composing a spell — and remember that magic relies heavily on symbolism and intentions. There’s nothing wrong with using unusual ingredients in a working — Hot Wheels cars, chess pieces, bits of hardware, sunglasses and even old DVDs are all fair game.

3. Figure out the Goal/Purpose/Intent of the Working.

What words or incantation — if any — will be verbalized during the workings? Are you going to chant something formal and powerful, calling upon the gods for assistance? Will you simply mutter a poetic couplet under your breath? Or is it the sort of working where you can simply ponder the Universe in silence? Remember, there is power in words, so select them carefully.

6. Now Make It Happen.

Put all of the above together into a workable form, and then, in the immortal words of the Nike commercial, Just Do It.
